Do you have a passion for our community and the skill set to support growth at an up-and-coming health organization? Progressive Community Health Centers is seeking an experienced professional to serve as a Financial Counselor at our Lisbon Avenue Health Center.

More than 100 employees support our agency's mission to improve the health and quality of life of the community by providing culturally competent services that address identified needs. We provide high-quality, comprehensive care to roughly 16,000 patients annually majority of who are low-income. No one is ever turned away from our clinics based on insurance status or ability to pay. We value a patient-centered philosophy and provide a range of services that include family medicine, internal medicine, women's health, urgent care, dental, radiology, and integrated behavioral health. We also offer supportive services such as case management, health education, and benefits enrollment.

What will you do?
The Financial Counselor will assist in supporting the goals of Progressive Community Health Centers by assisting patients with self-pay, Medicaid/BadgerCare, and Federal Marketplace applications. In addition, the Financial Counselor will verify, assess and complete sliding fee scale applications and patient insurance coverage for patients that may have high financial obligation balances.

What do you need to qualify?
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • A minimum of two years of experience dealing with Medicare, Medicaid, HMO's, government funding programs, and commercial insurance programs, required.
  • Two years of experience in a healthcare environment with previous collection experience. preferred.
