Requirements: Job description In partnership with the external wholesaler, the internal wholesaler is responsible for developing and maintaining existing relationships, as well as identifying and acquiring new business within their territory to meet sales goals to expand the breadth of distribution. (measured as New Producers). The Internal Wholesaler is responsible for raising and retaining AUM to increase revenue to the firm within a geographic territory by proactively calling financial advisers to share sales ideas, provide product information, gather marketing data and offer sales support. This individual develops and maintains relationships with existing financial advisers in order to position and sell Global Asset Management solutions, with primary emphasis on mutual funds and separately managed accounts - as well as identify new sales opportunities. The Internal Wholesaler is additionally responsible for developing and implementing a business plan and sales strategy in combination with the external wholesaler. 70 %: Business Development Work with external partner, and national sales manager to execute a plan to increase placement and penetration of GAM solution with Advisors at firms of priority with the ultimate goal of increasing AUM in the region and improving the revenue results for the firm. 70 %: Business Development Responsible for raising and retaining assets within a geographic territory by making proactive phone calls to financial advisors/intermediaries to provide product information, share sales ideas, gather marketing data and offer sales support. Identify and convert financial advisors into new producers Develop and implement a business plan and sales strategy with the external wholesaler Incorporate sales methodology / interviewing skills to learn about representatives' business and needs to suggest sales and marketing ideas. Promote the firms initiatives and focus to meet goals through call campaigns, email campaigns and communication. Perform competitive analysis within product line-ups and maintain knowledge of the mutual fund industry. Schedule quality appointments each week for the external wholesaler to meet with producing or potentially producing representatives 30 %: Business Management Handle incoming phone calls and requests for information, sales and marketing material, product analysis and problem resolution in a professional and timely manner Maintain open communication with the wholesaler, which includes a daily review of the sales, opportunities, and summarizing activities that impact the territory. Provide support to wholesaler in preparation and follow up for meetings including mailing necessary literature. Maintain contact relationship management system (SalesForce).
Qualifications: Knowledge & Skills: Bachelor's degree preferred Minimum 1+ years investment sales/marketing experience preferred Series 7, 63 or 65 securities licensed required Excellent phone and communication skills Strong interpersonal, listening and probing skills Excellent time management and organization skills Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. CRM experience is beneficial. Ability to be self-directed, self-managed, possesses proven decision-making skills and sound judgment.
