New Business Representative

Catholic Financial Life has an exciting opportunity available for a New Business Customer Services Representative to join our team! The individual will provide New Business and Records operations support and will report to the New Business / Records Operations supervisor. This role will also provide administrative support to the Insurance Services department. This is an important position with high visibility. The ideal candidate must be organized, detail oriented and have a passion to provide superior customer service to Catholic Financial Life members, advisors and Home Office associates. We are looking for a candidate that wants to learn and grow with Catholic Financial Life!

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a New Business Customer Services Representative, you will:

  • Actively participate in the New Business & Records Operations department
  • Effectively complete records management functions including:
    • Imaging/scanning of files
    • Management of member data
    • Complete file/information requests from advisors and Home Office associates
  • Effectively complete New Business functions including:
    • Data entry of new business application information
    • Telephone medical interviews with prospective and current members
    • Provide new business status information to advisors
    • Initiate and manage new business applications through use of an automated workflow tool
    • Initial verification of new business applications
    • Final verification of new business prior to issue
    • Resolve application payment issues
    • Follow up with advisors regarding new business and policy delivery requirements or offers
  • Actively communicate with members, advisors and other Home Office associates regarding the status of New Business or Records-related items
  • Manage CFL incoming mail and returned mail
  • Contribute to CFL New Business/Records projects and member research.
  • Provide proactive input regarding how the New Business and Records processes can be improved to increase efficiency and decrease turnaround time.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of effective performance in an office environment
  • Insurance experience is preferred
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • A proven track record of high performance
  • Excellent communication skills that can be adjusted to different situations and audiences.
  • A desire to set high expectations for yourself and then strive to exceed those expectations
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Successful candidates will be organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently. Individuals must be able to communicate effectively to associates at all organizational levels and be able to work well in a team environment. Candidates must be skilled in effectively prioritizing work.
