We are currently seeking a Regional Sales Manager to manage and grow sales in our West Coast Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Regional Agent Network. This dynamic professional will engage agents and support their needs through creative means to cultivate trusted relationships and elevate Phoenix Lighting through the channel.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Manage sales in territory through established external sales agent network. Evaluate agent performance and make changes as needed to GROW SALES both quickly and incrementally.
  • Support agent needs for project and discretionary business opportunities through product training and resource tools including but not limited to sending samples, paper collateral and swag, building agent-specific presentations and working with agent Operations point person to engage in local events such as trade shows and agent/customer/end-user entertainment.
  • Oversee and negotiate large project pricing.
  • Deliver a cohesive message to agent network about equipment sales as the only excluded project type (equipment sales encompass sea vessels, mining equipment and select OEM sales to be defined in contracts).
  • Keep agent contracts up to date. Set and track agent goals and bonuses.
  • Use Salesforce to document opportunities and create accurate forecasting for territory.
  • Run reports to identify and communicate territory trends to NSM.
  • Track lost opportunities and alter business plan to put Phoenix Lighting in a more favorable position on similar future opportunities.
  • Build and deliver engaging presentations to promote Phoenix Lighting products and services.
  • Use video and photography to engage western market through social media outlets.
  • Become familiar with all software and processes (small company with big company organization and tools!) including a strong knowledge of all pdf and video resources available to the agent network.
  • Pursue all Marketing and Inside Sales leads for territory through agent network.
  • Create and implement new strategies for supporting external sales agents.
  • Gather market intelligence through agent networks in relation to competitive products and pricing. Share findings with Product Management and work to find solutions and transition market share to Phoenix Lighting. Ascertain missing products in market.
  • Develop collaborative channel partner environment in assigned states to maximize volume, profitability, and ease of doing business with Phoenix Lighting.
  • Create weekly strategic communications about tracking and plans to meet or exceed sales budget.
.Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
  • Strong computer skills that include database, spreadsheet, word processing and presentation development
  • Must live in the Western continental territory: (AZ, CA, CO, ID, NM, NV, OR, UT, WA. Note: territory will include Alaska and Hawaii).
  • Lighting experience preferred
  • LC Certification preferred
  • 7+ years Sales experience required
  • Lighting specification or electrical distribution experience preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • 50-75% travel required
