Job description

We are pleased to announce we will be hiring for the Bayer CropScience - Bayer Advanced Temporary Seasonal Merchandiser Program. We are currently seeking Seasonal Retail Sales Merchandiser and Product Advisors for the 2016 season.
In this position you will be responsible for merchandising the Bayer Advanced in-store lawn and garden product line at Home Centers within an assigned territory. This is a temporary position based on the growing season.The primary responsibilities of this role, as Temporary/Seasonal Retail Sales Merchandiser and Product Advisor, are to: * Build and maintain relationships with key store personnel; * Sell to, educate and advise retail consumers on the selection of Bayer Advanced products; * Build and maintain product displays in accordance with standards; * Maintain appropriate product level on racks, shelves and displays; * Work with store personnel to order product at the store and district level; * Reconcile inventory; * Maintain, clean and organize back stock; * Provide excellent customer service to consumers and store personnel; * Install and maintain Point of Sale (POS) materials;Your success will be driven by your demonstration of our LIFE values. More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following: * Valid driver's license and auto insurance; * Access to reliable transportation during business hours; * Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds; * Ability to climb an 8-12 foot safety ladder; * Demonstrated good verbal and written communication skills; * Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English; * Basic computer skills; * Ability to work a flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays; * Demonstrated good customer service skills and a high level of comfort with direct customer interaction; * Demonstrated strong sales skills and a high level of comfort with face to face selling; * Demonstrated good organization and planning skills; * Willingness to work on temporary short term basis based on the growing season; * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; * Ability to travel within an assigned territory (radius of 100 miles).
Preferred Qualifications: * High School diploma or equivalent; * One to two years of retail or sales work experience; * Previous merchandising work experience; * Previous Home Center consumer product merchandising work experience; * Previous lawn care and/or pest control work experience; * Lawn and Garden chemicals knowledge; * Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish; * Access to the Internet/Email and Cellular phone; * Pallet jack experience.
