Package Handler

Job description

**Description:**

The package handlers will doing one of three primary roles.

Unloading semi trucks full of packages (5-20 lbs), placing them on conveyor system, and making sure the bar code is facing up so the scanning can read it and send it to the appropriate location within the building. Continual movement.

Loading trucks with packages (2-3 lbs). Packages will be coming in on the conveyor and package handlers will stack them (think tetris) to fill up semi truck. Continual movement.

Building pallets with packages. The package handlers work at the bottom of a package chute and take packages from the bottom of the chute and stack in a tower formation onto a plastic pallet. Then shrink wrap entire tower to ensure nothing falls over during transfer.

There are other responsibilities where packages could be up to 50 lbs. Team lift is utilized
