Senior Trade Compliance Specialist

As a member of Trek's Trade Compliance team, the Senior Trade Compliance Specialist will manage import and export compliance processes to ensure adherence to global Customs regulations and
partnering agencies. The Senior Trade Compliance Specialist will be a leader of process improvements to ensure compliance to trade regulations while facilitating the inbound and outbound
movement of shipments.

Position Responsibilities:
• Understand and interpret U.S. import and export regulations, partner government agency
requirements, and the Harmonized Tariff of the United States.
• Enhance and further develop duty mitigation opportunities including duty drawback.
• Contribute to the development of a compliance roadmap and strategic plan.
• Lead and execute the qualifying of goods for preferential treatment, understanding of rules of
origin, bill of materials and manufacturing processes.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for applicable U.S. and Canadian import and
export processes.
• Identify country of origin and marking on imported goods.
• Provide expertise on complex trade topics including customs valuation guidelines and standard
principles.
• Create policies, procedures and corporate Customs Compliance guidelines.
• Other projects and tasks as assigned.

Position Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in international business, supply chain or related field.
• 5-10+ years' experience in U.S. trade/customs compliance in a corporate setting.
• U.S. Customs brokerage license required.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex regulatory concepts in
recommendations or solutions.
• Must have a strong passion for continuous improvement, desire to learn and be a self-starter.
• Capable of managing large data sets, analyzing trends and identifying risk.
• Advance proficiency with current Microsoft Office and analytics programs including Excel, Access,
Power Point, and Power BI.
• Ability to work both independently and on teams.
