Overview:
Homes for Independent Living (HIL) provides specialized support to individuals with Special Needs ranging from gentle guidance and assistance to complete, residential and comprehensive care. Our one-of-a-kind care is what separates us from others. We are seeking Caregiver Float to provide support and care to our residents.

The Caregiver Float must be able to work in Edgar, Weston area, 12 hour shifts, either 1st/2nd, 2nd/3rd or 3rd/1st shifts. Every other weekend, 12 hour shifts is required.

Developmentally Disabled Behavioral Care & Medical Care

Edgar & Weston

Responsibilities:
Serving as a direct care professional for residents and performing functions of direct care staff including assisting residents with daily living, personal care, and hygiene needs, transporting residents, administering medication, meal preparation, behavior management, etc.

Complete other tasks and projects related to the daily operation of the program

Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old

Demonstrated skill and/or potential in working with individuals with special needs in a supportive environment.

Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills

Ability to maintain self-composure and self-control under stressful conditions

Ability to remain comfortable and composed when clients may exhibit aggressive, challenging, or offensive behaviors

Valid driver's license for 3 years with an acceptable driving record per HIL's policy, is required

Access to an insured vehicle is strongly preferred

Successful completion of a pre-employment TB test and health screen
