Job description

Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer for a 12 month Fixed term staff role with experience electrical background and experience within operation/maintenance roles for operators.

Provides daily electrical support for Mariner A and Mariner B installations, engaging with Responsible Electrical Persons (REPs) offshore and engagement with the Electrical Technical Authority within OTE department to ensure all electrical work is effective and compliant. Electrical support engineer report to the Field Maintenance Manager and is responsible for the following:

  • Task reporting is to the Maintenance Engineer to provide effective maintenance execution/strategy delivery
  • Discipline support for offshore across the field i.e. both installations MARA and MARB
  • Participation in the optimisation of criticality analysis / Preventive Maintenance (PM) program
  • Responsible for technical requests (M6) for relevant discipline/system, engaging with OTE
  • Coordination and follow up on Critical Maintenance (CM)
  • Provide input to operations plans
  • Continuously assess changes in PM interval (increase / decrease of intervals as a result of previously performed PM-tests)
  • Work order preparation for the discipline in collaboration with offshore
  • Close cooperation with discipline coordinator offshore for input to and preparation of new work orders
  • Review work order scope to address the interface with other disciplines
  • Make requisitions for services and personnel from suppliers within the discipline
  • Make requisitions for materials and equipment
  • Ensure quality of requisitions in cooperation with the offshore (parts, equipment, materials) for all preventive and corrective maintenance (PM/CM)
  • Follow up requisitions in cooperation with Supply Chain to ensure correct priority on delivery
  • Follow up materials that are being repaired in cooperation with Supply Chain • Quality assurance of notifications and work orders (WO), all time they should have correct status and codification, revision, standard text key)
  • Plan Preparations for the discipline following the planning process for operations and work order plan, attend key planning meetings as agreed with Maintenance Manager/Engineer
  • Management of M5, Y2, Y3 SAP notifications
  • Responsible for preparing and close out of Independent Competent Person (ICP) corrective work M2/PM01 portfolio and initiating ORA's when required. Inclusive of the updating of V-Connect
  • Vendor management - responsible person for contracts/services as identified by the Maintenance Manager
  • Cost input to budget forecasting and spend to support Maintenance Engineer
  • M1 EXWO - maturing and managing execution and close out
  • Creating and handling M1 (Mods) through to M1 approvals meeting and preparing for decision gate meeting - engaging with TEO/OTE endorsements
  • Creating and developing decision templates to support M1 Modifications as assigned by Maintenance Manager/Engineer
  • Proactively manage HSE Critical maintenance (PM and CM) activities to prevent/reduce backlog and deferments for the discipline
  • Visit offshore regularly and as agreed with the Maintenance Manager


Skills / Qualifications

Work related competence

Electrical degree or equivalent qualification

Previous Experience as an Electrical support engineer for offshore operations -

Good working knowledge of SAP CMMS

Current offshore certification (medical / BOSIET/ MIST, etc.)

COMPEX certification / ATEX knowledgeable
