Job description

Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a Principal Structural Engineer with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.

The Structural Engineer will report to the Project Lead and generally will be required to do the following

    • Lead Clients Structural Engineering review of all project aspects. Independent working is required.
    • Input to tender evaluation and scoring.
    • Technical review of all contractor engineering documentation.
    • Response to Technical Queries and production of technical project documentation.
    • Technical input to any Safety Case modifications required.
    • Structural Engineering support during the contract development.
    • Interface & lead discussions with 3 rd party engineering consultants, The Heath & Safety Executive, Vendors & Marine Warranty Surveyors.
    • Offshore trips will be necessary in the runup to and during the project execution.


Skills / Qualifications

  • Ideally the Structural Engineer will have Chartered status
