SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGERLocation: May be office based in Maidenhead or can adopt a flexible hybrid option of part home/part office workingContract Type: Fixed Term - 2 yearsSalary: From £37,280 per annum, pro rata, depending upon experienceHours: Full Time, 37 hours per week About the CWGCThe Commonwealth War Graves Commission honours and cares for the men and women of the Commonwealth forces who died in the First and Second World Wars, ensuring they will never be forgotten. Funded by six Member Governments, our work began with building, and now maintaining, cemeteries at 23,000 locations all over the world.Today, over a century after we first began, our work continues through our staff, supporters and volunteers who preserve our unique cultural, horticultural, and architectural heritage and ensure that the stories of those who died are told. About this Role and YouOur Social Media team are at the heart of our Organisation's digital content across our various social media platforms. They are passionate about tailoring content to reach our current audiences and committed to diversifying and developing multichannel paid and organic activity to widen our social engagement across the globe. This is a terrific opportunity for a versatile and innovative social media expert to lead the development and delivery of a cross-platform strategy. Creating content in a range of digital formats for paid and organic methods on social media you will help shape our approach to community management and proactively grow our online presence. Working in collaboration with our MarComs team you will develop creative content to ensure social media campaigns are successfully aligned to increase brand awareness and engage diverse audiences. You will be innovative, have a great commercial sense and be a trend spotter with a keen eye for emerging platforms in the social media landscape. Using your experience of day-to-day management of social media platforms, you will use your research and analytical abilities to provide strategic advice on issues, reputation and brand management. You will be relied upon to raise our profile, acquire new and far-reaching audiences and enhance our global reputation. To be successful within this position you will have strong community management experience, with a strong grasp of paid and organic social best practice, together with a clear understanding of data compliance and legislation for social media and the implications for marketing in this space. You will be able to demonstrate: Education to degree level or equivalent professional qualificationProven experience in a social media environment, with a track record of managing social media and content creationIn-depth knowledge of the current social media landscapeTeam management experienceExperience including but not limited to Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, InstagramKnowledge of analytics software as well as paid advertising campaignsStrong ability for copywriting and social content creationAbility to build and maintain positive relationships utilising exceptional communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skillsAbility to understand and manage sensitive and delicate matters within campaign activityExcellent writing skills, with a good eye for design and layoutStrong project management skills In addition, we are looking for applicants who share our Values of Respect, Excellence, Teamwork, Communication, Professionalism and Commitment.
