About the role
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Specialist Contracts team within the Operational Excellence team in Water Production. This is a high-profile role delivering the highest year on year spend of c. £10million within Production Directly Managed Capital.
Specifically, you will be managing the outsourced contracts for Granular Activated Carbon exchange and replacement, along with the ongoing proactive slow sand filter structural repair and replacement programme to deliver resilient process units across Thames Water Production sites.
The role requires significant ability to liaise, influence and coordinate between suppliers, operational teams and other stakeholders at all levels.
What we are looking for
You will:
Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to travel across the entire Thames region and therefore you will require a full driving licence. A private car allowance will be available if the criteria is met. You can be based at any of our production sites including: Ashford Common (WTW) - TW15 1RU, - Coppermills (WTW) - E17 7HE, - Fobney (WTW) - RG2 0HP, - Hampton Coal Wharf - TW12 2ES
Our competitive salary package includes an excellent contributory pension, 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with the length of service and a wider benefits scheme.
We're proud of the positive ways of working we have adopted during the pandemic. We want to create a more flexible and dynamic environment so all our colleagues can thrive. For our office-based roles, we are moving to a hybrid approach where we will provide options around working from our offices, our operational sites and home, dependent on role/team/individual. This will be discussed during the assessment process.
Thames Water is a unique, rewarding and diverse place to work. If you join our team, you'll enjoy fast-tracked career opportunities, flexible working arrangements and unparalleled benefits. We're also proud to be an equal opportunity employer, Stonewall Diversity Champion and Disability Confident Leader and we are a Times Top 50 Employer for Women. You can find out more in our working for us section of our website.
