Our Field Service Engineers, work with luxury car and boat brands, as well as precision OEM's, installing and servicing our high-value capital equipment in clean environments. BASIC SALARY: £35,000 - £45,000 depending on experience

LOCATION: Home Based you'll cover mainly the South and occasionally the UK. You're likely to be based in the South of the UK area: Wellingborough, Northampton, Kettering, Corby, Rugby, Towcester, Milton Keynes, Bedford, Daventry, Lemington Spa, Banbury, Bicester, Oxford, Abingdon, Leighton Buzzard, Buckingham, Market Harborough, Watford, Amersham, High Wycombe, Beaconsfield, Chesham, Hemel Hempstead, Dunstable, Luton, St Albans, Hatfield, Aylesbury.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Service Engineer, Field Service Engineer, Installation / Commissioning Engineer

Mainly based around the Midlands area, but covering other parts of the UK when required, you'll be installing, servicing and maintaining our high-value digital flatbed cutting machinery. Our kit is used in aerospace, automotive, motorsport, signs & display graphics, print & packaging, textiles, composites and the leather industry.

The work is varied and you'll typically carry out 1-2 service visits per day between 9am-5pm. As our equipment is modular the visit will typically include:

· Hardware fault diagnosis & component swap-out
· Software updates
· Machine overhaul and refreshment
· New Machine Installation

For new machine installations / commissioning you'll be paired up with a colleague to provide customer training.

PERSON SPECIFICATION: Service Engineer, Field Service Engineer, Installation / Commissioning Engineer

You MUST be an experienced Mechanical Engineer, used to servicing large or high value industrial capital equipment.

You should also:
· Be prepared to travel throughout the UK and stay away overnight when needed as well as happy to travel overseas for training and emergency cover when required.
· Have experience of working as a Field Service Engineer, but we welcome applications from Maintenance Engineers on single site operations provided you're happy with the travel aspects of the role.
· Bring strong trouble-shooting / problem solving skills need to be personable, well presented and customer facing, happy to engage with clients and train when required.
· Because there is a software training aspect to the role if you have any experience or even an interest / hobby relating to computers or software it would be highly attractive.
