What you will be doing
This is an exciting and rewarding role as we deliver one of the UK's biggest engineering infrastructure programmes to maintain the supply of wholesome drinking water and safe treatment of wastewater which is critical to protecting our environment.
You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered to time, cost and quality objectives as well as ensuring and supporting a strong health, safety, and wellbeing culture throughout.
Ensuring contractors and consultants delivering capital projects for Thames Water comply with our requirements, standards, and expectations.
Ensuring the solution developed and delivered meets the technical and environmental requirements of the Project Brief, addresses the needs and meets operations expectations, whilst providing the best Whole Life Cost for Thames Water and its customers.

This role provides an excellent challenge for an experienced Technical Assurance Engineer to join Thames Water's Major Projects team, working on some of the most significant and complex wastewater treatment and renewable energy projects that Thames Water needs to safely deliver. The role also offers opportunities for progression within Major Projects, Capital Delivery and more widely across Thames Water.

We're looking for you to:
- Be educated to degree level in an engineering or technical discipline, or with equivalent role-specific experience
- Have significant experience working in a design or related role
- Have detailed knowledge within your discipline plus experience of working across engineering disciplines
- Be commercially aware with a good practical understanding of engineering contracts
- Be a great team player with the ability lead and work collaboratively with all stakeholders
- Have a desire to adopt and demonstrate behaviours aligned with Thames Water's Values
- You will be self-starting, resilient and tenacious under pressure, with a desire to successfully deliver projects safely to time, cost and quality
