Litigation Lawyer

Part Time (2 days per week)

£40-45 per hour

Remote Working

A well-established Local Authority within the Cambridgeshire area are looking for an enthusiastic litigation lawyer to join their friendly team on a locum basis for 3-6 months on a part time basis for 2 days per week.

Working predominantly but not exclusively on housing litigation matters, the focus of the role will be handling housing disrepair, homelessness, planning enforcement, judicial Reviews, anti-Social behaviour and licensing.

Possible duties may also include: prosecutions, licensing and ASBO's in the criminal element, and environmental prosecutions to include littering, fly posting, fly tipping and abandoned cars.

The ideal candidate will also need to attend litigation in the County Court, High Court and Tribunals; including preparing all relevant documentation and attending hearings as representative of the partner Councils as appropriate to the level of the post. The majority of the post holder's work is likely to be in the area of housing law.
