Vision For Education are looking to appoint a Behaviour Support Assistant with a desire to mentor pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs in an SEN school in Knutsford. The role is full-time supporting young people on a one-to-one basis.

The role

The role of a Behaviour Support Assistant is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference to pupils lives and their experience of education, especially those who have become disengaged from school life. You will be required to support in small classes from Y7 - Y11, using behaviour management skills in assisting pupils in overcoming barriers to learning.

The school

The school has an established and supportive management team who are looking for a Behaviour Support Assistant to start in September 2021. Strong behaviour management abilities to support their pupils who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs are desirable. The school provides personalised, child-centred, high quality education programmes which aim to ensure that all the students individual educational needs are met.

Requirements

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for the Behaviour Support Assistant position are:

Have a minimum of 6 weeks relevant experience
Be confident in their behaviour management skills to facilitate a safe and positive learning environment and de-escalate any threatening or aggressive behaviour.
To mentor and engage with the students, delivering specifically designed educational packages.
Be willing to work in schools in the Knutsford area
