Job description

Total People are looking to recruit a Tutor (Learning Coach) who will be responsible for coaching, mentoring, tutoring, and assessing students on the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning - Level 3 Standard

The Tutor will support the apprentices to develop their knowledge, skills and behaviours that are required to be demonstrated within the apprenticeship. This will consist of coaching and mentoring sessions, knowledge delivery through teaching sessions that will be run at our classroom and workshops in Wythenshawe, Manchester. You will be required to teach in both the classroom and the workshop environment, complete guidance and mock end point assessments to ensure that apprenticeships are ready for the independent assessment at the end of their apprenticeship. Your role will also include meeting apprentices on site at their employers to support via coaching and mentoring sessions one a one-to-one bases to help embed the knowledge and skills that have been learnt in the classroom.

You will build good relationships with the employers that we work with and complete Tri part reviews to ensure that employers and apprentices know where they are up to with their apprentice and what actions and steps to take to progress onwards.

You will need to have worked in the refrigeration and air conditioning field and have site experience of commercial and/or industrial systems. Current F-Gas qualification is required and understanding of current legislation is key to have.

You will be expected to embed maths and English into your delivery to ensure that learners that do not have the required level Functional skills or equivalent can pass the exams.

This post is offered on a permanent basis, working 37 hours per week, however consideration will be given to any part time applications.
