Job description

The Best Connection are looking to recruit an experienced Stock Inventory Controller with a valid FLT Counterbalance licence for one of our clients, Global Distributor of chemicals & ingredients used in everyday products in the UK.

We are looking for someone with good communication skills and excellent attention to detail to join the Widnes team with a specific responsibility for supporting the operations function.

Reporting to the Administration Manager you will work closely with the Operations department to drive stock accuracy and support the administration team. There is ample opportunity to learn and develop in an interesting industry with a company that will match your ambition.

What you'll deliver day-to-day:

+ Managing and controlling stock inventory of up to £3m supported with 4 accurate stock counts per annum.
+ Full utilisation of inventory management systems and warehouse iPad apps.
+ The management of non-conforming stock within a fast-moving warehouse environment.
+ Resolve any stock issues and discrepancies and drive process improvement.
+ To ensure that the correct goods are received, stored and dispatched to a high standard.
+ Support in periodic waste disposal to keep inventory levels to a minimum.
+ Be compliant to all policies, procedures and legislative requirements.
+ Afternoon shift 14:00-2200.

About You:

+ Good communication skills, excellent attention to detail and be able to work alone when required.
+ It is essential that you are self-motivated, resilient, flexible and possess excellent organisational skills along with strong IT skills.
+ You'll ideally have experience of warehouse management systems
+ Counterbalance forklift and IPAF licenses will be beneficial but the organisation will invest in the successful candidate.

This position will lead to a permanent position after a successful qualifying period.
