Engineering Company based in Fife looking for a Support Engineer from an engineering background

My client is a Global Engineering Company based in Fife and are currently looking for a Support Engineer from an engineering background - preferably I.T. Mechanical or Electrical background - other engineering discipline would be considered. My client supports the entire product life cycle, from original design input, pre-sales testing, local customisation and configuration through to field support activities that include technical assistance as well as product repair, replacement and refurbishment programs.

The Role

The Process Support Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all processes, associated with the accounts they are responsible for, are Safe, efficient and capable of delivering output to the necessary quality standard in line with the corresponding customer's specifications and corporate standards.

Key Job Responsibilities

* Establish customer requirement and implement robust, efficient and safe processes.
* Create\/maintain all operational SOP ensuring all process improvement opportunities are clearly documented.
* Regularly review processes to establish opportunities for improvement.
* Support production team with technical issues.
* Deploy processes capable of meeting customer demand whilst ensuring costs are in line with business case assumptions.
* Manage process quality, ensuring all process defects are subject to robust RCCA analysis.
* Interface with key customers\/interfaces understanding requirement and delivering suitable solutions.
* Work to a lean and continuous improvement methodology, identifying opportunities to reduce bottle necks and improve productivity.
* Any other reasonable duties which may be required by management from time to time.

Background

* HND or Degree qualified in an Engineering field.
* Excellent technical skills.
* Knowledge or process related standards.
* Self-starter who can demonstrate achieved success working in a similar fast paced environment.
* Previous CI\/Kaizen experience is desired but not essential.
* Familiarity with Health & Safety regulations preferred.
* Knowledge of ISO 9001: 2015
