Data Agile Delivery Manager - Permanent

We are working with retail food & beverage client who are on a journey of global growth and expansion. As part of a company restructure and due to acquisition a new role has been formed for an Data focused Agile Delivery Manager. The client is driving the evolution of their Data Platform using the latest Azure technology. To accelerate they are looking to establish a new and exciting Agile team, which drives the need for an Agile Delivery Manager. This role will help build and establish the foundations of a Data Squad.

As the Agile Delivery Manager you will:

  • Lead and empower the engineering team and wider business through the delivery of change and improvements to a fast evolving product
  • Lead and coordinate with the team through the development life cycle whilst adhering to best practice and Agile ways of working
  • Collaborate and drive a cross-functional delivery team towards self-organisation while maintaining alignment to purpose and values
  • Relentlessly and continuously foster improvements both incremental and radical
  • Have an entrepreneurial approach to delivery - a drive to deliver the best for customers
  • Line manage developers and developers in test

You will have:

  • Technical knowledge on Cloud based data and analytics tools and technologies, specifically Azure, Data Lake Store and SQL DW
  • Experience as a developer, developer-in-test OR line managing these roles
  • Strong hands on experience in delivery leadership roles in a data agile environment
  • Proven experience with agile estimation and planning activities - maintenance of roadmaps, delivery plans, incremental approaches, delivering an MVP - and managing and communicating progress and challenges to stakeholders
  • Line management and people development
  • Proficient with Agile methodologies: scrum, Kanban, and the principles behind the manifesto
  • Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary IT team with knowledge of Data and Information Security, architectural processes, service level management, IT Ops.
  • Experience of coaching and developing team ownership of engineering, compliance, and data best practices such as OWASP, GDPR, etc
