Job description

Position Deliverables

  • Meet new institutional clients and/or membership sales targets and milestone objectives.
  • Maintain and build relationships with target institutional clients and members in the stated region.
  • Remain and build relationships with relevant industry associations and associated professionals (lawyers, regulators, exchange officials, etc)
  • Identify and execute marketing and educational initiatives to educate and attract clients to participate in primarily, the SGX derivative product set and secondarily, the SGX securities product set.
  • Generate regular educational and marketing messages to promote the SGX product set (Derivatives & Securities) and work with colleagues in HQ to disseminate such messages to institutional clients and members in the stated region via multiple sources including deployment of social media
  • Manage the process of onboarding clients into incentive programmes, bi-annual reviews and renewals. Analyse the P&L and when relevant amend incentive programmes to maximize the results.
  • Reach out to existing prospect lists via various sources - Bloomberg, LinkedIn, "cold" calling - build and maintain relationships with those
  • Regularly analyse volumes and OI from key clients for cross-sell and up sell opportunities
  • Attend meetings and events with key clients and prospects, help to collect feedback and work with teams internally to develop better solutions / products / services
  • Develop internal relationships and interface effectively to solve client issues and steer product offering to meet industry demand.
  • Represent SGX professionally - both directly with clients in industry events. This will include identifying suitable events and forums at which to represent SGX in a speaking role capacity.
  • Express and apply a strong knowledge of SGX products (Derivatives and Securities), processes and rules.
  • Implement and enhance use of CRM, internal reports and databases like Confluence to maximize efficiency of the sales process..
  • Conduct sales and marketing activities in accordance with internal policies, as well as rules and regulations.

Requirements

  • Graduate Degree or equivalent industry qualification with a minimum of 5 years of work experience in the financial industry.
  • Must have demonstrated success in the area of client acquisition and/or revenue enhancement.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards, best practices, developments, client trends, product developments, and an extensive network of industry connections.
  • Must be willing to travel for work across the stated region and back to HQ as and when necessary.
  • High energy, strong presence and effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Must be effective in English. Fluency in any European language will be an advantage.
  • Previous experience of dealing with buy-side clients in Europe would be an advantage.
  • Ability to work under pressure with short deadlines.
