Job description
We are looking for a highly motivated, team oriented and ambitious individual to join a dynamic and highly talented, global debt investment team.
Macquarie Asset Management - Private Credit team, invests in infrastructure debt assets on behalf of Macquarie's institutional client base and is a leader in the asset class. This team combines the best of Macquarie's deep infrastructure debt experience with a flexible and highly dynamic approach to investing for our clients and growing opportunities for the business.
As an Associate Director within the London team, you will be contributing to the continued growth of the Private Credit platform in respect of infrastructure, renewable debt, and other adjacent sectors. You will be primarily involved with the origination, assessment, and execution of new investment opportunities.
Your responsibilities will require you to:
- Develop and build relationships with borrowers, sponsors, and advisers
- Source new investment opportunities
- Lead investment approval processes and the execution of investments
- Manage portfolio assets, supported by the portfolio management team
- Manage and develop junior team members
- Support fundraising and investor relationship management
- Explore and develop new business areas such as new sectors, geographies etc.
You will be instrumental in the origination and execution of investment opportunities and materially contribute to the growth and success of the platform.
You will have experience in leading and supervising complex transactions across a broad spectrum of sectors such as social infrastructure, renewables, energy, transportation, and digital infrastructure. You will be a highly motivated, entrepreneurial, proactive, and resilient individual with a track record of leading and developing deal-teams.
You will be highly numerate and possess skills in all aspects of credit and financial analysis. You will have the ability to demonstrate sound business judgement. You possess strong interpersonal skills which will give you the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels and be an effective team player.
