We're looking for a Backend Engineer to join the team and help deliver the best experience possible for our users. Our iOS app'Mochi'is written in Swift which sits within a back-end AWS environment and uses REST API to talk to the Frontend system. Working mainly within Python, you will design, develop and deploy APIs and microservices that will power our flagship product.

Your Technical Skills:

• Strong experience using Python for backend development

• Strong experience with the AWS ecosystem (Cognito. Lambdas, S3 etc).

• Strong knowledge and deep understanding of AWS Lambdas

• Strong experience with SQL databases

• Strong experience with documentation, implementation and deployment of JSON REST APIs

• Experience building complex customer facing products for the web or mobile platforms

• Experience in Unit testing and ensuring consistency across all our APIs

Pushing the boundaries:

• Experience of building serverless architecture.

• Experience with Social Networking / LiveOps

• Any experience working in a gaming environment

• Experience with building, debugging and deploying ETL processes

A bit about you:

• Great communication skills (verbal and written)

• Able to own the work you do and communicate progress effectively

What impact will you make?

• Working with the data team to develop our analytics pipeline

• Discover new ways to connect new AWS microservices

• You'll participate in reviewing code and designing components
