Job description

We have a limited number of barista roles within The Championships and seek highly skilled experts in the field.

Our baristas will be experienced and enthusiastic with a passion for producing and serving top quality coffees as well as a variety of other hot and cold beverages. The role requires team members to provide a vibrant, comprehensive and confident barista service whilst delivering excellent customer service.

Location

Barista roles exist across a limited number of our catering units and can be found in areas which host many of our Competitors and Members, as well as hospitality and media spaces.

Barista responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Serving coffee and other hot and cold drinks to customers and clients in a professional and friendly manner.
• Ensuring the barista coffee machine is operated efficiently and correctly at all times.
• Being fully trained in the art of making the highest standard of drinks whilst displaying an excellent level of skill.
• Cleaning or sanitising work areas, utensils, or equipment as necessary.
• Working well under pressure
• Preparing the correct customer orders by following recipes and preparation techniques.
• Promoting excellent standards of safety and cleanliness.

Candidates applying for roles at The Championships, 2022 should be aware that you will be considered specifically for the role for which you have applied. You may however, following assessment, be offered an alternative position if one considered more appropriate to your current skills and experience (subject to availability). If your preferred role is not advertised, there are unfortunately no vacant positions available at this time.

Requirements:

• Over 18 as of 24th June 2022
• Must be available for the time period 24th June to 10th July (inclusive) as a minimum
• You must hold current Valid Right to Work in the UK
• Previous experience as a Barista and able to use a full barista machine
• A passion for producing top quality hot beverages
• Able to travel to the venue daily for work during the Championships
• Live within reasonable travelling distance of the venue (typically 1 hour or less)
• Must be able to supply 2 suitable references, complete all necessary onboarding paperwork, and satisfy accreditation requirements by the required deadlines.
