Bid Manager

London, SW1V 1HU

£50,000 to £60,000 per annum

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

The G4S Public Sector Bids Team is responsible for winning major contracts for some of the government's most complex services.

The Bid Manager works with five different business units (Employability, Health, Patient Transport, Contact Centres and Facilities Management) to identify, pursue and successfully convert multi-million pound opportunities. As well as ensuring that all activities related to the submission of successful bids are completed, you will project manage the development of winning operational solutions and compelling commercial propositions.

As a Bid Manager you will work with Bid Directors, Bid Writers and Operational teams to develop winning solutions for multi-million pound projects and ensure responses are submitted accurately.

What's Involved:

Project manage teams to ensure operationally viable, creative solutions that reflect best practice and value for money are submitted.
Develop and manage Bid Plans to deliver bid requirements on time
Identify and acquire all necessary team resources including staff, IT and finances
Manage bid approval processes
Analysis of markets and competitors
Manage relationships with clients, partners and stakeholders
Use G4S's CRM system to identify upcoming bid opportunities
Follow up on any bid queries initiated by the client
Draft tender documentation and ensure clearance by Project Board
Produce final tender to agreed timescale and specification
The Ideal Candidate

Essential:

A track record of growing business and winning bids for the public sector.
Commercially focused, confident, self- driven and inventive, with exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to listen and to communicate complex ideas confidently.

Desirable:

Health, FM, Contact Centre or Employability experience
Project Management experience
3+ years big bidding experience.
