Job description

The role of a cashier requires a high level of responsibility and desired candidates must be a friendly, organised and efficient individual who is able to work alone and under supervision.

The main responsibilities of a cashier include, but are not limited to:

  • During service times assisting on an electronic cash till and to receive any training as necessary
  • Be responsible for float collections and reconcile takings when required and to ensure that the correct floats are accounted for
  • Ensuring tight control of all cash and credit transactions and to notify Management of any deficient or surplus on cash takings, floats or purchases and any other irregularities that may appear
  • To adhere to Food & Drink at Wimbledon cash handling practices and procedures at all times
  • To act as cashier during service times and to assist other members of your team when you are not busy
  • Carry out any other reasonable tasks asked of you from within your team and management

Candidates applying for roles at The Championships, 2022 should be aware that you will be considered specifically for the role for which you have applied. You may however, following assessment, be offered an alternative position if one considered more appropriate to your current skills and experience (subject to availability). If your preferred role is not advertised, there are unfortunately no vacant positions available at this time.

Requirements:

  • Over 18 as of 24th June 2022
  • Must be available for the time period 24th June to 10th July (inclusive) as a minimum
  • You must hold current Valid Right to Work in the UK
  • Previous cash handling and till experience
  • Able to travel to the venue daily for work during the Championships
  • Live within reasonable travelling distance of the venue (typically 1 hour or less)
  • Must be able to supply 2 suitable references, complete all necessary onboarding paperwork, and satisfy accreditation requirements by the required deadlines.
