Job description

About the role:

The Client Principal is the foundation of Armakuni's interactions with our clients, and will lead the delivery and growth of a portfolio of client accounts, leveraging their creativity and experience to facilitate exceptional outcomes.

As a trusted advisor, the Client Principal will drive the strategic direction of engagements by facilitating creative client solutions, developing long lasting relationships and being a focal point for delivery, escalation and growth. This is a pivotal role, responsible for the achievement of business goals and revenue targets whilst developing the company account strategy through growing key client accounts.

Currently this role reports directly to the CTO, but we are expecting this to change over the next 6-12 months as we further build out the delivery function. This role is available for remote working across the UK.

Key responsibilities:

As a trusted advisor to our clients, you will build long lasting, valuable relationships in often complex stakeholder landscapes. You will define a shared vision for the engagement with the client and their stakeholders, setting the success criteria and defining measurable outcomes. As an ambassador for AK, you will represent the AK value proposition, ensuring we are set up for success.

You will secure growth opportunities by nurturing client relationships and identifying opportunities to align with Armakuni's targets, whilst identifying and overcoming risks along the way. This will require a strong commercial focus on delivery, whilst owning contract negotiations that enable mutual success for AK and our clients.

As the key focal point for value delivery, escalation and growth, the Client Principal will be accountable for all aspects of the team's delivery and the client's journey, from the development of business cases, right through to the publication of success stories.

Above all, you will work with clients to accelerate adoption of Armakuni services and products, exceeding client expectations by delivering excellence and demonstrating impact.

Requirements:

The successful candidate can clearly demonstrate their ability to think strategically about business, product and technical challenges, and convey compelling value propositions. Their background in account management will enable them to easily interact and engage with clients and stakeholders of all levels.

You are experienced at building and nurturing people relationships to identify, develop and secure growth opportunities, comfortably influencing at all levels, and will likely come from a highly technical account management background.

You will use your well honed Cloud and DevOps experience to demonstrate the value we create across a broad spectrum of our clients and sectors. You will likely be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to write and present technical documents and compelling proposals to senior leadership teams
  • Experience in proactively growing client relationships within a complex technical and stakeholder landscape
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills in organisations of all scales from startups to global enterprises
  • Proven track record in identifying, developing, negotiating and closing mid to large-scale technology and/or professional services deals
  • Success acting as a mentor, facilitator and enabler to an internal SW delivery team
  • An Adaptable approach, with an enthusiasm to explore and respond positively to new ways of working
