Job description

Sellick Partnership are delighted to be working with an NHS Trust based in London. They are seeking a qualified Solicitor with NHS experience to take on the position of Head of Legal Services. This position will commence ASAP for an initial period of 3 months with the likelihood of extension.

This is a full-time role which will be based in the office in South London. It is an excellent opportunity for a Lawyer with NHS experience to work in a friendly team, supported by two Legal Assistants and one Paralegal.

The successful NHS Solicitor acting as Head of Legal must have experience of clinical negligence and inquests.

The responsibilities of the successful NHS Clinical Negligence Lawyer will include, but are not limited to:

Claims management
Governance and risk
Inquests
High Court and Court of Protection applications
Legal advice
Legal training and development
Managing the day-to-day running of the Legal Affairs and Subject Access Request Teams
Police matters and keeping staff safe
Subject access and disclosure of personal data
Acting as a point of contact for legal issues arising within the organisation
Building and maintaining effective relationships throughout the Trust
