Job description

The Solution Architect for Named Accounts is responsible for working with a select number of clients to ensure success and continued growth in those accounts. You will work with both sales and delivery teams to understand the client landscape and future requirements, building and evangelizing technology visions and crafting a solution that meets their specific needs. This is the ideal role for someone who wants to stay close to technology whilst evolving their technical leadership and sales skills.

Essential Skills:

• Perform the Solution Architect role on opportunities and projects related to Digital Transformation and Data Analytics
• Build a vision, understand and define requirements, design practical solutions, develop supporting business cases and implement solutions for clients
• Still very hands on and enjoy being close to the solutions
• Solution architecting in cloud and with some of the following specialisms; cloud native application modernisation, cloud migration, SecDevOps, data engineering, data analytics, data migration, AI/ML and IOT
• Solution architecting on Azure and/or AWS
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and able to articulate difficult concepts simply
• Responding to tenders such as RFI's and RFPs.
• To own the solution financials and work with the practice teams to provide realistic work package estimations
• Lead and own architectural aspects of designing and building solutions
• Understand technical, business, and organizational requirements of a modern cloud and data platforms
• Create reusable frameworks to reduce development timeline and increase architectural consistency
• Technical lead for sales activity
• Provide guidance and mentoring to other Solution Leads, Solution Analysts, and other Architects

Experience:

• 7 years' experience working in application and/or data related roles
• 5 years as a solution architect for cloud solutions (Azure and AWS)
• Excellent hands on experience with IaaS, PaaS, SaaS Solutions
• Good understanding and application of cloud security frameworks and solutions
• Experience in a business development role, working with clients to build opportunitites as well as responding to client tenders (such as RFIs and RFPs)
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills; ability to analyze and break problems down logically and independently to formulate several solutions options
• CI/CD tools; automated testing tools (eg, Junit, TestNG); Cloud Formation, Terraform
• Full life cycle project experience
• Understanding of design/architectural patterns, along with cloud-based deployment patterns
• Good understanding and big data and cloud security frameworks, concepts and tools
• Ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills; ability to analyze and break problems down logically and independently to formulate several solutions options
