Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Acquire, identify and develop new relationships with creditworthy clients to build trusted and profitable relationships.
• Take charge of and own the overall client relationship spanning all product and service groupings particularly in Cameroon, Niger and Benin.
• Work closely with the bank's Representative Office in the region and with other RMs.
• Cooperate with Secondary Market Team to optimize the portfolio
• Work closely with the Corporates Origination Team in the context of the Two-Client-Approach.
• Mobilise product areas to ensure the optimum return from existing and new relationships in order to meet the Bank and department's strategic and annual targets.
• Exercise day-to-day management of current relationships; act as first line of defence and as primary point of contact for all matters pertaining to the client's relationship with the bank.
• Preserve and maintain the credit quality of the client portfolio including the monitoring of facility utilisation and press and internet coverage of counterparties.
• Maintain and develop relationships with other banks on a regular basis to facilitate inward and outward risk participations leading to increasing market share

Experience Required:

• A strong originator
• Strong track record in Francophone Africa with solid French and English language skills
• Detailed knowledge of and experience in the marketing of cross border banking products and services, importantly those comprising Trade Finance, Real Estate Finance and Treasury products.
• Excellent interpersonal, sales and relationship management skills with a wide range of global contacts.
