*Salary: £35,844 to £40,731 plus an allowance of £1,639. You will receive £35,844 the band minimum. Progress to the band maximum of £40,731 will be via incremental progression*

*Location: London*

*Well trained CT teams mean a well protected UK.*

*P**rotecting the country against terrorism requires a highly trained team. Our specialist advisors make sure that's the case - but they need to be trained themselves. As a NaCTSO Licensing & Accreditation Officer, you'll develop and deliver training for our advisors so they're equipped to spread awareness and best practice within Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP). Your work will be far-reaching - and play a key role in keeping the UK public safe. *

Working with the UK Government and National Counter Terrorism Policing, you'll shape CTP now and in the future. You'll achieve this by developing the policies, guidance and training for CT advisors and resources nationally. It's a vital role where you'll also ensure the training and accreditation of government departments and the private sector. And you'll see that all training resources are licenced and accredited in line with City & Guilds and other official standards.

This is a role for an experienced professional. You should have worked as an Accredited Counter Terrorism Security Advisor (CTSA), a CT Prepare professional or a CT Protect & Prepare trainer. Whatever your background, you'll need good knowledge of Protect and Prepare products and plans, as well as the National Risk Register. Skilled and articulate when it comes to delivering training, you'll be prepared to travel nationally.

As part of the Met, you can expect a range of benefits plus excellent training and the chance to develop.

*Job Summary*

The Licensing and Accreditation Training Development Officers will ensure the consistent delivery of all NaCTSO training of Counter Terrorism Security Advisors (CTSA), Counter Terrorism Awareness Advisors (CTAA) and Counter Terrorism (CT) Prepare resources throughout the CT network. In addition, the role requires the training and accreditation of lead government departments and the private sector where required. These roles will also ensure that the licensing and accreditation of these resources is conducted in accordance with City and Guilds and other external verification agencies. These roles require CT knowledge in either Protect, as a CTSA or in Prepare as a CT Prepare Professional.

These roles will support the management of training, licensing and accreditation with the office of the National Coordinator Protect and Prepare (NCPP), regionally based Protect and Prepare Leads, Counter Terrorism Units, Local Resilience Forums and other partner agencies to define and develop a consistent Counter Terrorism Protect and Prepare capability across the UK.
