Job description

Leading global publishing and event business is looking to recruit an Editor-in-Chief to drive the continued growth of two flagship publications, and partner with the management team to identify emerging opportunities for the company. The successful candidate will have high editorial standards, be adept at managing multiple deadlines and stakeholders and be a strategic thinker.

Managing a small editorial team responsible for two news websites, four annual magazine issues, two monthly podcasts, a growing number of digital supplements, and 16 annual research reports. Understanding digital analytics will help you steer the future direction of their industry-leading publications, and your interpersonal skills will help you work cross-functionally with our marketing, research, and events teams.

Be the face of the publications and an advocate for their communities within the company. In addition, you will play a supporting role in assisting our award-winning events team by providing input on topics and speakers that will enrich their forums and conferences.

You will also serve on the judging panel of our prestigious awards events around the world. You will have a strong sense of story-telling online, in a magazine, and at a conference Moderate and chair webinars and events

The successful applicant will have:

At least 5 years of relevant editorial experience Track record of managing reporters and freelancers Understanding of analytics and methods of engaging readers across channels Comfortable with public speaking;
experience moderating large-scale events Excellent written and verbal communication skills An interest in the capital markets experience covering investor relations or corporate governance is desirable A willingness to travel domestically and internationally (once safe and in compliance with Covid-19 protocols).

Mainly remote but will be required to travel to London once a week
