Electrical Building Services Engineer - Facilities & Maintenance - Continental Shift - Canary Wharf

My client, a global facilities service provider are seeking an Electrical Building Services Engineer to join their team at one of their corporate contracts at Canary Wharf for a 14 month fixed term contract.

Job Specification:

* Ensure that routine PPM is carried out to all electrical plant in accordance with Site task schedules and asset lists.

* Ensure that reactive tasks throughout the building are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made. These reactive calls to also include concessionary stores and fabric related items.

* Ensure that sub-contractors perform to meet the requirement of the contract. Administer sub contractor work approvals and safe operation while repair or service is carried out on site.

* To operate a Permit to Work System in accordance with company Quality, Health & Safety procedures and client requirements.

Salary & Package:

* £42,700,00

* £4,000,00 Shift Allowance

* Continental Shift Pattern

* Company Mobile and Tablet

The Person:

* Experience in a similar banking environment with multi-site locations.

* Conversant with a wide range of building service systems and equipment.

* Sound Electrical and Mechanical knowledge.

* Be conversant with current Health and Safety legislation with relevance to safe working practices.

* City & Guilds Parts 1 and 2 (Electrical Installation 2360) or recognized equivalent.

* 17th Edition Institute of Electrical Engineers (I.E.E) Registration or recognized equivalent.

* Experience with similar maintenance duties including fault diagnosis, rectification.

* Experience in the Electrical aspects of general building PPM schedules.

* Experienced in electrical installation work, plus electrical testing, and inspection.

* Experience working within data centres on Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) is desirable but not essential.
