Job description

Are you ready to take the next step in your career? One of the world's largest Global Data Centre Providers are looking for a new Senior Engineering Design Manager.
Our client has over a 10 billion USD combined revenue and are looking to expand even further by increasing their data centre footprint by 20%. They have plans for opening several high quality facilities to meet the needs of the best and largest enterprises, so this is the perfect opportunity to get into one of the most exciting Global Data Centre Providers.

As their new Senior M&E Design Manager you will be part of the Design and Engineering department across the EMEA-region working on New-Build, Expansion, Upgrade and Fitout projects for their Data Centres.
You will be leading a multi-disciplinary design process as the first point of contact for external vendors then liaising with the internal stakeholders as well as the senior members of the Design & Engineering Team to ensure that the best design decisions are made and implemented, while assessing the risk and opportunities that are available. This is from developing tools, processes, and procedures to ensure the design project is run to the highest standards across the design and engineering and wider construction teams.
Then you will also be undertaking and supervising the design reviews to ensure that the companies design standards, local code requirements and the project brief are all up to standard; advising and ensuring that corrective actions are taken promptly for any design issues.
The role requires you to have mechanical, electrical or controls engineering specialism and will provide in-depth engineering reviews and expert input to the wider D&E team based on your specialism.
To be considered for this role you would need to have an Engineering degree in relevant subject; as well as several years of experience, ideally within Data centres but you would still be considered with similar high-tech M&E industry experience. You would also need experience working in a multi-disciplinary design team, ideally in a leadership role.
