Our client, an established private equity firm with over three decades of experience investing in a range of sectors across Central, Northern Europe and the UK is looking to hire an ESG Analyst/ Associate to join its team in London.

Working with the Head of the team and the ESG Coordinator, the ESG Analyst/ Associate will support the continued development of the firm's sustainability programme which will include working closely with the investment teams on ESG matters, active engagement with the management teams of the portfolio companies on the implementation of ESG initiatives and reporting of KPIs whilst supporting the IR team with the firm's engagement with existing investors on the subject of ESG as well as prospective investors as part of the fundraising activities.

This role is an excellent opportunity to join a committed and high-performing team within a leading European private equity investor, whilst benefiting from the opportunity to work with a highly regarded ESG Manager and with great exposure to a variety of work across the full spectrum of ESG topics.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure efficient and timely communication with portfolio companies, investors, advisers, employees and senior management
  • Work alongside Management of portfolio companies in the definition of their ESG KPI's, ensure continuous monitoring, analyse, and report on the evolution of these KPIs
  • Work alongside the deal teams to collect and report on ESG KPI's
  • Assist portfolio companies in their GHG footprint evaluation
  • Support the firm with the MSA review of suppliers
  • Support TCFD reporting once initiated
  • Answering investor queries regarding ESG
  • Proactively assist in building the company's ESG profile and support the continued development and execution of the firm's sustainability programme
YOUR PROFILE:
  • Strong analytical skills, structured mindset
  • A strong cross-team player, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, positive and outgoing nature, ability to interact and engage with various stakeholders, at all levels of seniority
  • Service oriented and diligent. Ability to deliver to tight deadlines
  • Ability and drive to work independently, whilst being an integral part of the ESG/ investor relations team
  • Fluent English, proficiency in a second European language advantageous
