Job description

Prospectus is delighted to be working with Haven House Children's Hospice who supports hundreds of families, looking after children and young people who have life-limiting or life-threatening conditions. They are looking to recruit a Finance Officer who will collaborate with internal teams, process large volumes of data accurately at speed and ensure monthly deadlines for reporting are met. Please note this role is offered part-time at 28 hours (4 days) per week.

The overall purpose of this role is to take on the responsibility of importing income transactions from fundraising income data and other sources into Sage. You will also ensure the timely and accurate monthly reconciliation of bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts. Maintaining fixed assets financial records, you will ensure that annual sample audit of fixed assets is undertaken. Overall, you will support the finance manager in regard to the monthly management of accounts.

To be successful as a Finance Officer, you will have a strong finance background with a proven track record in financial accounting. With a strong experience of using IT for accountancy, you will be familiar with using Excel spreadsheets and journal reports. Overall, you will be able to process data efficiently and accurately, be a great communicator and have a passion for working towards a great cause.
