Fundraising Events Officer
Charity People are thrilled to be working with a property industry charityin their search for a Fundraising Events Officer. This is a role focusing on managing an exciting bespoken event for the organisation.
This is a full-time 6-month temporary position (37.5 hours) with a salary of 24,000 - 30,000
- Office-based (London) - Flexible, hybrid home\/office model - Can be based anywhere with one meeting in the office required a month.
About The Charity
We believe that no young person should ever have to experience homelessness. Our mission is to unite the property industry to end youth homelessness.
35 years ago,the charity was founded to work with the UK property industry to try and harness a collective desire to do good. Since 2016\/17, the charities focus has beenexclusively on creating a corporate movement within and across the industry to tackle and end youth homelessness.
You will join a small and friendly events team, who are working towards an ambitious goal. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to work on an exciting bespoke event face-to-face with some of the charitiesmost valued supporters.
About the role
In this exciting and engaging role, you will manage the development and successful delivery of the charitiesmost thrilling event (which is a Sleep Out).
You will be involved in all aspects of the event's administration including booking, logistics, invoicing, assisting with queries and helping event participants to fundraise.
You will be engaging with donors, fundraisers, and volunteers to maximise income and collaborate with colleagues across the organisation, such as the marketing team to ensure all events run smoothly. You will also manage suppliers and supporters to ensure that all their events are delivered within an agreed budget.
You will also work with other team members to implement the Fundraising Strategy for the event, and take responsibility for income and contribution targets for fundraising events to ensure targets are met and expenditure is controlled in line with the budget.
About you
You will be ambitious, driven and thrive whilst working in a busy events team. You will also be highly organised and be confident with leading and engaging with suppliers and supporters.
We are looking for a team player who can form and maximise strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
You must be adaptable and flexible where necessary to meet the requirements of the post. Evening and weekend work may be required
You will be skilled in using online fundraising platforms such as just giving and digital tools to maximise income within events or individual giving.
Experience in working with CRM\/database would also be desirable.
You must have excellent networking skills, and experience in delivering events. You must also be committed to the mission to end homelessness.
