Job description

Prospectus is pleased to be supporting our client as they seek to recruit a new Grants Officer.

Please note this role is being offered on a 6 months fixed term contract.

This role can be based at one of three Hubs in Leeds, Birmingham, or London and allows for up to 3 days working from home.

Our client is an independent, not for profit organisation set up to tackle youth unemployment with a £90million endowment from the Reclaim Fund. We are looking for bold and impactful ways to help young people find and keep good jobs.

Recent falls in employment have been four times higher for young Black people and nearly three times higher for young Asian people. Young people typically work in occupations that have been impacted most by the pandemic, such as hospitality and retail. There is a significant risk that a generation's future will be blighted by the scarring effects of long-term unemployment.

As the Grants Officer, you will play a key role within the grants team, supporting the Head of Grants and Director of Grants and Investment in the delivery of innovative and impactful grant-making. You will assess and make recommendations on requests for funding and, working closely with the Impact and Evidence team, ensure successful applicants are supported to deliver high quality impactful projects.

The successful candidate will have experience of grant making or applying for funding and its processes. You will be a confident communicator and team player. You should be highly efficient with the ability to work across multiple strands of work to strict deadlines and will also demonstrate strong organisational skills with the ability to build positive relationships with key stakeholders.

Importantly, you will be committed to making a real impact on the lives of young people facing barriers to accessing, and progressing in, work.

As a specialist Recruitment Practice we are committed to building inclusive and diverse organisations, and welcome applications from all sections of the community. We invest in your journey as a candidate and are committed to supporting you in your application.

Please initially apply with a Word Copy of your CV - more information about the role and the organisation will be provided to suitable candidates.
