Infrastructure Security Engineer

A global business that is producing platforms that will make a greener future for everyone, is searching for an Infrastructure Security Engineer with genuine leadership ambitions.

You'll be hands on this this role, responding to security incidents, managing firewalls and configuring network security software while building towards something much bigger.

This infrastructure security engineering position will see you flesh out the security practice of this growing business as you eventually move into a leadership role within a brand new team.

The company.

• This is a global energy company that has recently ventured into green energy.
• Their products have made renewables a viable commodity for energy vendors making a greener future possible.
• Their entire IT infrastructure is hosted on the cloud (AWS) with systems handling huge amounts of comprehensive data. These platforms are accessed globally across US, UK and Europe.

What you'll do.

• Manage firewalls and intrusion prevention systems.
• Create and maintain security practices and policies.
• Review systems, recommending and carrying out security improvements.
• Analyse and monitor network and infrastructure to identify new/emerging threats.
• Lay the groundwork of a new team, potentially moving into a leadership position in the future.

The skills we'd like to see.

The Infrastructure Security Engineer that joins this prosperous business will have a variety of skills and experience they bring to the table, including some of the following:

• A strong cyber security background.
• Experience with firewalls and security systems (this experience will be hands on, configuring/deploying etc).
• Experience with SSO (Single Sign On) protocols
• Experience with Cryptographic protocols (SSL/TLS etc).

The package.

• This role pays between £90,000-£100,000 per year.
• Package includes Healthcare and a bonus of around 25%.
