Job description
We are partnering exclusively with this major cultural organisation in London to recruit an Infrastructure Team Lead. Working closely with the Head of IT, this role provides technical leadership to the IT department on digital cloud infrastructure technology and leads on the delivery of secure, customer-centric and compliant IT infrastructure for a large cultural organisation.

Information Technology Team
The IT Department works collaboratively across the organisation and is responsible for the support, maintenance and ongoing development of the organisation's platforms including infrastructure and business systems
Role objective
Working closely with the Head of IT, this role provides technical leadership to the IT department on digital cloud infrastructure technology and leads on the delivery of secure, customer-centric and compliant IT infrastructure for a large cultural organisation.
Current Priorities
Developing and maintaining core on-premise and cloud infrastructure, services and systems and ensuring data security and compliance
Managing risk and ongoing compliance with PCI, GDPR and relevant cybersecurity standards and best practice
Developing and designing cloud based infrastructure to replace physical infrastructure where appropriate
Improve speed, accessibility and fault tolerance on systems that must remain on premises
Designing, implementing and testing business continuity plans and systems
Supporting the Head of IT in the development and implementation of a digital strategy for IT infrastructure across the organisation.
Main Responsibilities
Lead on physical and virtual server administration (on-premise and cloud)
Lead on infrastructure management and projects including network security, design and implementation
Lead on all cyber security risks relating to the delivery of operational digital and technology services and take overall responsibility for related audit actions
Lead on all aspects of data security, the technical aspects of PCI and GDPR compliance and
Ensure ongoing risk management and updating of the risk register
Lead on Cloud platform management and design - Azure and Amazon AWS
Lead on IT Business Continuity implementation and testing
Manage all system changes in accordance with Change Request and Approval processes
Manage a small team ensuring they're motivated, productive and their skills are developed
Ensure appropriate patch and security update management across IT systems
Manage the asset register of all IT hardware assets across the SC
Lead on IT vendor and contract management
Identify and recommend opportunities to optimise secure business processes and procedures through IT technology, including the communication of those technologies to users
Ensure that systems monitoring physical and cloud infrastructure performance are fit for purpose and provide timely and accurate feedback
Ensure that an asset replacement programme is adhered to and aligned with business need
Manage IT infrastructure budget, planning, and recruitment
Deputise in the absence of the Head of IT
Any other duties as may be reasonably required in supporting the delivery a strong IT service to the organisation
Essential skills and experience
- Strong interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills to foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Understanding and ability to continually update cybersecurity skills relevant to present and future IT architectures
- Significant experience leading and managing an infrastructure and operations team
- Significant experience designing, implementing and supporting IT infrastructure, including networks, Servers, cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GoogleCP) and desktops
- A deep understanding of current and emerging-technologies as well as an overview of technical trends
- Significant experience with managing risk, audits and compliance to PCI, GDPR and relevant standards
- Experience with managing staff and handling outside consultants, including cybersecurity specialists
- Significant experience leading on business continuity strategy and solution design
- Significant experience of vendor and contract management
- Sound project management skills with regard to projects, budgets and personnel with a proven ability to collaborate across departments and leading teams
