The British Museum is looking for a proactive individual with strong organizational and inter-personal skills as well as excellent oral and written communication ability to help drive the Museum's digital and technology transformation.

In this role, you will get the opportunity to work with stakeholders across the entire Museum, from commercial to curatorial, to deliver a wide variety of IT projects.

This is a unique opportunity to deliver change to one of the world's most iconic and valuable cultural heritage institutions and be part of a community of people passionate about the values of the Museum and its 260-year legacy of providing free access to the history of the world.

Key areas of responsibility:

• Manage and deliver Museum IT projects according to defined project management standards, from inception to completion and final handover to support staff.
• Manage IT procurements in support of specified projects, in accordance with Museum, National and International guidelines as appropriate
• Coordinate resources across IT and the Museum

Person specification:

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level, or with equivalent experience, and will either have previous experience in a similar role or will be able to demonstrate the necessary drive and capability. It is essential that you have outstanding relationship building, commercial and written communication skills, are organized and are comfortable communicating with all levels of the organisation.
