Job description

IT Service Continuity Manager - ITSCM

The ITSCM Lead is part of the Service Operations Team within Infrastructure and Operations Product Group and is responsible for the ITSCM Framework and all ITSCM aspects across the service life cycle and is focused on both projects and operations.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Owning the ITSCM framework, policies, procedures and ITSCM plan, ensuring alignment to risk appetite, and leading the development of the ITSCM plan with BTS and 3rd party supplier inputs, co-ordination and execution of ITSCM testing schedule, updating the plan and applying appropriate change control.
  • Contributing to the Service Design Package and change releases for all ITSCM elements, coordinating the development of the ITSCM plans; ensuring the ITSCM capability is aligned, and quality assure the completion of ITSCM capability and operational acceptance testing for ITSCM requirements.
  • Contributing ITSCM risks and issues to programme/project/operational risk registers and identify mitigating actions. Identifying BTS operational ITSCM risks, owning ITSCM risks on the BTS register and providing mitigating actions.
  • Providing ITSCM requirements to projects, review business requirement to ensure they meet ITSCM framework, policies and procedures, review high level designs to ensure they incorporate and meet ITSCM Non-Functional requirements and align to risk appetite.
  • Providing the escalation for incident resolution within Crisis and Incident Management Frameworks and executing the ITSCM plan when a business disruption, incident or crisis occurs, coordinating with Service Management teams and suppliers.
  • Develop the approach for business focused Service Continuity impact assessments analysing the impact of service continuity failures during testing and live continuity failures in line with ITSCM policy and procedures. Working alongside Senior Leadership and SMEs to gather detailed accurate impacts to enable ITSCM planning.

ESSENTIAL:

Expert at ITIL ITSCM and Change frameworks, policies and procedures and ITIL V3 certified

  • Substantial experience of providing a disaster recovery and business/service continuity service covering change and run activities within Financial Services or a governmental or regulatory body.
  • Substantial experience of ITSCM planning, testing and managing major incidents.
  • Substantial experience of leading project managers and business stakeholders through Service Continuity processes, coaching and advising managers in the benefits and methods of Service Continuity Planning.
  • Analytical, able to rationalise data from several sources and create meaningful insight which can be incorporated into the Service Continuity framework, completing business impact assessments analysing the impact on business operations and reputation.
  • Experience of providing ITSCM Services in relation to cyber incidents
  • Experience of providing ITSCM Services where cloud technologies are used
  • Effective communicator and stakeholder manager, challenging and influencing to determine the accurate impact to the business of service continuity failures and articulating complex technical and business outcomes to senior leadership
  • Knowledge of ISO22301/BS2599 is highly desirable
