Position Description: We have recently created a division around PIMCO's focus on asset management for our alternatives platform. The newly formed loan portfolio asset management team will support both the EUR Residential desk as well as the EUR Special Situations desk in managing their loan portfolios post acquisition. Their focus will be on maximizing returns through hands on, proactive management of the assets and servicers, as well as improved surveillance and reporting.We are seeking a senior member of our team who will manage a robust surveillance/asset management program for privately held loan portfolios in PIMCO's private and public funds (Europe) in conjunction with various stakeholders within the firm, mainly focused on Non-Performing Loans (NPLs).Assist with development of a robust and systematic surveillance program for granular NPL portfolios, which requires collaboration with the acquisition, financing, and real estate teams in Europe.Ensure that every loan portfolio is regularly surveilled for performance and credit risk management and potential issues or underperformance is flagged early and actively managed to preserve valueCertify the loan portfolio reporting to all stakeholders is adequate, timely, and accurateActively manage all servicers to ensure top performance, including oversight of agreement negotiationsCoordination/oversight of and contract negotiations with all third party vendors as neededSupport acquisitions/originations of Non-performing loan portfolios through knowledge of underwriting process, servicing data analysis and customary due diligence.Support acquisitions/originations of Non-performing loan portfolios with negotiation with regard to loan servicers and loan servicing aspects of the investmentsStay apprised of all applicable regulatory and political risks/landscape including active involvement and coordination with PIMCO's public policy team and regular reporting to various stakeholders as it relates to the loan portfolios Position Requirements: 10+ years of relevant experience, working with loan portfolios in asset management, investment bank, or servicing company, including NPL experienceBroad knowledge of the NPL landscape across Europe generally; familiarity of NPL servicers across Europe is helpfulAbility to drill down into the details and analytics of loan portfolios and look for opportunities to increase returns as well as identify issuesFamiliarity and expertise, sale agreements, servicing contracts and financing term sheets.Proven track record of successful management experience; interpersonal, and collaboration skillsStrong negotiating skills, and familiarity with loan servicing documentsSolid analytical and communication skillsSome travel will be required Benefits: PIMCO is committed to offering a comprehensive portfolio of employee benefits designed to support the health and well-being of you and your family.
