Mechanical Commissioning Manager Data Centres - London & Surrey - £350-£450 per day plus expenses or to £80k plus package

One of the world's leading Building Services Commissioning Management consultancies is urgently looking to hire an experienced Mechanical Commissioning Manager to add to their growing team based on a superb Data Centre site in London and Surrey. You must have a solid track record in Commissioning Management and Data Centre Projects. This role will likely move to other European locations once completed.

Job Purpose Summary
The role of our commissioning engineers is to see that building services systems will be, are or have been put to work properly and in accordance with relevant requirements. Determining that this is the case could be achieved through any of the following:
1. Managing the commissioning process
2. Validating that the commissioning process and seeing that results obtained align with requirements
3. Inspecting existing systems to determine how they perform
4. Providing consultative advice in determining commissioning and performance requirements, commissioning strategies, programmes, scopes of work and the like.
5. Carrying out measurements, surveys and other technical inspections
Additionally, at all times:
• Engaging with other members of the Company to help improve existing systems and procedures
• Talking the role of Champion in an area of specific technical interest
• To promote the company and the wider group through marketing activities
Locations
This role, whilst predominantly UK based may, from time-to-time involve working internationally. The role is likely to include, again from time-to-time work, at weekends and evenings.
Key Attributes
1. A capable, technically competent engineer with drive, enthusiasm and a high attention to detail
2. Hold recognised engineering qualifications, and ideally Bachelor of Engineering
3. Have detailed technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical and/or building control systems
4. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Project
5. Be creative and innovative
6. Have an ability to multi task
7. Be task and deadline focussed
8. Hold effective supervisory and organisational skills
9. Be able to lead teams
10. Be able to motivate self and team members

Key Responsibilities
1. To act safely at all times in compliance with the Company's health and safety policy and procedures.
2. To work diligently, efficiently and professionally at all times
3. To ensure technical compliance and high quality production of our deliverables
4. To fully adopt the Company's project management systems
5. To maintain an acute awareness of project finances and control expenditure thereof
6. To attend meetings as required
7. To prepare technical reports
8. To develop project specific commissioning management/validation documents and procedures
9. To comment on drawings, manuals and technical submittals
10. To develop project specific method statements, test scripts and the like
11. To be aware and report internally on project scope change
12. To work with other members of a professional team in evaluating progress, difficulties and costs
13. To undertake hands on commissioning work as necessary

General Duties
1. To look ahead with a view to arranging test instrumentation required for testing
2. To assist in the development of tender submissions
3. To accurately complete timesheets on a weekly basis
4. To pre-actively support other members of staff in undertaking their work
