It has been agreed that our AstraZeneca UK Commercial head office will move from Luton to Pancras Square, London in early 2022. This role will be initially based in our Luton office, until this move takes place.

*What you'll do*
As Medical Affairs Manager you will use your clinical and scientific expertise to develop, lead, and deliver world class medical strategy through medical insights, governance and evidence generation to support guideline change and accelerate practice change at scale.
In this role, the Medical Affairs Manager will be accountable for workstreams that advance clinical practice in alignment with medical and brand strategy. These workstreams will primarily focus on the Medical and Scientific Affairs missions to deliver product launches, healthcare system change and practice changing evidence.
You will establish and maintain AZ's position as a scientific leader while delivering high level external stakeholder engagement with external experts, professional societies and patient groups.
*Essential Skills and Experience*
* Bachelor's degree in a scientific field (i.e.: BPHARM, BSc, MBBS or equivalent)
* Extensive experience within Medical Affairs and/or within Biologics
* Strong communication skills
* Evidence of effective team working and accountability
* Understanding of the ABPI code of practice
* Evidence of working collaboratively in a matrix team
*Desirable*
* Technical expertise in the biologics area
* Project management experience
* Proven ability to interact with external stakeholders
* Higher degree such as a BPHARM, MSc or PhD
