Job description

WHAT YOU'LL DOThe Meetings & Events Digital Specialist acts as the critical link between meetings technology and customers. You will gain functional & technical expertise in a wide range of digital tools (registration, mobile apps, virtual platforms, etc.) and be able to explain the benefits and features to both co-workers and customers. You will help oversee the technical setup & configuration of these tools (all SAAS solutions) in ensure compliance with customer needs, GDPR, and IT security protocols for in-person, hybrid and virtual meetings. Over time, this role will drive adoption of these tools across BCG.This role will be part of a matrixed digital solutions team that includes both IT and non-IT members. You will work collaboratively to ensure seamless service delivery that exceeds expectations, ensure on-time delivery, carefully document requests and work status and help guide third party suppliers to the optimal outcomes.This role will also become an expert in the team's request management system and support projects related to the selection and implementationYOU'RE GOOD ATSolving problems creatively on behalf of customers seeking optimal short and long-term meetings technology solutionsLearning new systems and technologies quickly, in a self-driven education environmentTroubleshooting proactively and balancing differing opinions as well as technical constraintsServing as a subject matter expert to drive enhancements to M&E's digital service/product offerings as well as supporting stakeholder training, as necessary\\Building lasting relationships with a global network of stakeholders, including colleagues, customers, and vendor partnersManaging workload and maintaining high degree of self-motivation in a highly collaborative, virtual teaming environmentWorking independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a rapidly changing global scenarioYOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Hospitality, Business, IT, or related field2-4 years of experience in hospitality IT, IT-related consulting, or event technology industriesStrong project management skills: ability to multi-task and manage competing prioritiesTechnical & functional experience of meetings technology & digital teaming tools like Cvent, 6Connex, Zoom, Trello, Slido, Lanyon, DoubleDutch etc. preferredExpertise on MS Office software, especially PowerPoint, preferredStrong customer service backgroundPrevious experience working in a global/virtual teamExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written (multilingual preferred)YOU'LL WORK WITHAbout Meetings & Events: The Meetings & Events (M&E) team's purpose at BCG is to create safe and inspiring environments that bring people together to enable meaningful connections and global impact.
