Job description

We are working with a global Asset management firm, who are looking for a Operations Resilience Consultant.
This role is responsible for coordinating and maturing the firm's operational resilience framework, in line with defined policy, across all in scope functional areas. This role reports directly to the Global Head of Business Resilience and supports SMF24s who have ultimate accountability for operational resilience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the review and update of the Operational Resilience Policy and strategy, working with the relevant senior management to ensure it appropriately describes key requirements, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Coordinate and monitor completion of identification and documentation of new and existing IBSs (e.g., resource mapping and impact tolerances), scenario testing, update of self-assessment document.
  • Ongoing development, maturation, and embedding of the operational resilience framework, in conjunction with SMF24s.
  • Day-to-day BAU oversight of operational resilience and monitoring of first line teams' execution of operational resilience requirements (IBS owners, SMFs, and capability owners/ business areas that support IBS).
  • Ensure senior management are fully aware of their roles and responsibilities regarding operational resilience and are provided with the relevant training and information to facilitate decision making.
  • Monitor resolution of vulnerabilities, incidents, risks, and issues that could compromise IBSs and impact tolerances. Review of risk assessments and risk acceptances as necessary.


Attributes and Skills:

  • Demonstrable knowledge of operational resilience and business continuity regulation applicable to asset management firms. Experience and capability in building and maturing a business continuity program based on an industry recognised best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise risks, control frameworks, and resilience risks relating to business operations and technology.
  • Proven excellence in written and verbal communication skills with the ability to target messages according the audience and present effectively to senior management.
  • Must be able to interface and coordinate work efficiently and effectively with all functional areas.

Preferred:

  • Demonstrable experience of delivering operational resilience to an organisation.
  • Minimum of 5 plus years of experience in financial services, information technology, or corporate continuity environments strongly preferred
