Job description

Working Well Trust is a London based charity, founded almost 30 years ago by a group of passionate mental health professionals.They sought to address the low rates of employment typically experienced by those who have faced mental health issues. The charity supports people to prepare for, seek, sustain, and progress in employment. Since 2019, Working Well Trust has also been providing this support to people affected by learning difficulties and Autism.

We are looking for a highly organised person ideally with a background in employment support, to become our new Operations Director. You will also need to have:

Experience of developing positive working relationships with funders and commissioners
Experience of line management with a focus on staff development and wellbeing
Experience of service transformation
Excellent communication skills
Strong project management skills including contract monitoring
Understanding of the issues faced by our clients and the importance of wellbeing support
Be committed to co-production principles

As we are looking to expand our Individual Placement and Support services, candidates with experience of IPS service management are particularly welcome.

For our existing services, your role will be to support ongoing improvements and transitions to align with the transformation of community health services, and to work closely with the Chief Executive to achieve our strategic aims.

You will be joining a team of enthusiastic and knowledgeable workers, who share a belief that we can support people achieve their employment, training and wellbeing goals. You will manage the service leads, be a key member of the Head Office team and work closely with our trustees.

We offer staff the option of flexible working, including working from home days and compressed hours. We currently expect the new postholder to work around two or three days a week in the office, including regular visits to our sites in Enfield and Kingston.

As we are keen to appoint before the current postholder leaves we are interviewing candidates as applications are received, which may mean that the vacancy may be closed earlier than the published closing date.
