You will be an enabler and facilitator, helping to ensure that good performance management and best practice is at the centre of all that we do.

You'll be able to use your expertise to enable good change management and increasing employee engagement to its optimum in this role. You will be a trusted advisor to managers at all levels, covering the full employee life cycle. We are looking for an exceptional People Business Partner, to work in this permanent role. We are happy to explore working arrangements along side hybrid working e.g. part time hours - job-sharing for the right candidate/s. More about the role:

In this role you will be integral in delivering key strategic and operational priorities, supporting managers to bring the best out of their teams. You will be instrumental in providing pragmatic solutions to HR challenges by working collaboratively with managers and key stakeholders across the People and Organisational Development Team.

You'll also:
* Coach and advise managers to embed a high-performance culture, champion the enhancement of management capabilities and provide a perfect balance of support and challenge.
* Provide advice on change management, including restructures, and will use your expertise to support managers to ensure changes are smoothly implemented and legal compliance and best practice are adhered to.
* Help create a recruitment pipeline for future recruitment and workforce planning activity: collaborating closely to solve resourcing challenges that enable us to attract and retain the right talent.
* Support employee engagement initiatives: such as staff surveys, enabling each business area to maximise their potential and create action plans to enhance departmental results.
* Support or lead on specific projects to better enable WaterAid managers and staff to be at their best and deliver results.
* Line manage, develop and motivate a People Advisor.

About you:
To be successful in this role you will need to be resourceful, pragmatic and have sound generalist HR experience.

You'll also need:
* CIPD membership (at Associate or higher) or equivalent relevant experience: and be a confident HR generalist across the entire employee life cycle including recruitment and attraction. You should be able to demonstrate a successful track record of advising and leading on a range of people & ER related matters.
* Practical experience of supporting change (e.g. including restructures, job variations, job evaluations).
* To be a confident influencer/coach, able to build strong relationships and have a good balance between support and challenge. You will have built credibility with business focused managers through providing pragmatic HR solutions.
* To be a collaborator and team player: able to use your planning skills to deliver projects and bring about positive results.
* Good emotional intelligence and be able to navigate ambiguity: comfortable working at pace and tenacious about delivering results. You will also be able to work autonomously.

Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience) with excellent benefits. WaterAid benefits include:

Additional Information:

WaterAid is located in Canary Wharf, London and this will be your location and contract base. WaterAid is open and supportive of flexibility. We are currently defining our approach to hybrid working. The right balance between office and home-based working should be agreed with your line manager. Your flexibility requirements and that of the role will be discussed at the interview stage with you.
