Our high-energy and collaborative culture at Janus Henderson helps our client achieve their goals and ensures that our people love the place they work.The departmentThe Global Product Development and Management team sits within the wider Distribution function of Janus Henderson Investors.Overview of the roleYou will be responsible for product initiatives relating to the JHI UK Property PAIF and Feeder Fund. This will encompass product development, product management and associated project delivery.The focus of this role is expected to be split between40% Product management and product development60% Coordination and project management responsibilitiesDuties and responsibilitiesYou will:Support as directed product development and project initiatives relating exclusively to the JHI UK Property PAIF and Feeder FundWork with our third-party property manager (Nuveen) and distribution leads to oversee the JHI UK Property PAIF and Feeder Fund and develop tactical and strategic solutions.Ensure the approval of initiatives through the JHI product governance process, including ACD approvalsStakeholder management including communication on project delivery, progress and issues arisingLead relationships with other internal departments on any in-scope product related issuesCommittee and board representation as appropriateMaintain awareness of industry developments and regulatory changes with regard to open-ended property fundsOwnership of fund documentation and any other relevant fund legal documentationOwnership of any client and distributor communicationsField queries and issues relating to the product proposition, its design and operating modelCarry out additional duties as assigned.Supervisory responsibilitiesNoTechnical skills and qualificationsDegree educated.IMC preferableDetailed knowledge and experience of open-ended property funds is essentialCompetencies requiredIn addition to putting clients first, acting like an owner, and succeeding as a team, the competencies for this role include:Proven project management skillsAbility to work closely with, and influence, portfolio managers, other front office personnel and executives.Good communication skills, both verbal and written, and ability to liaise with senior management, peers and other team members.Commercial awareness.Understanding of the drivers and processes integral to successful product development and management.Lateral-thinking with a creative mind and a proactive approach to opportunitiesPrepared to work hard and will enjoy the challenges of a fast moving and changing environment.
